The problem with a minimal code! American Plumbing, LMP #556

 When the Louisiana Legislature was forcing the IPC / IRC codes down the consumers throats, a number of us were pointing out the IPC / IRC were self described minimal codes.  The legislature did not care about the consumers and forced these minimal codes down the Louisiana consumers throats.  Since that time the current LSUCCC has been having to amend the code to strengthen it.  The above amendment is a perfect example.

 Every time we have a storm and FEMA steps in, our customers pay the price for FEMA contractors poor workmanship.  When FEMA is involved the local governing body has no control of who performs the work.  That is why you end up with a flood of illegals working for non-licensed companies.  Above is an example of an illegal water heater installation in 2016.
