When initially starting the above job, we wondered why someone would be foolish enough to put sewer pipe in the slab instead of PVC DWV pipe. Upon accessing the main drain line for removal, we found the city sewer tap was also in the building under the slab. Obviously, when the original owner expanded the building they poured the additional slab over the original outside sewer line and city tap. This was poor planning.
